:hyper: Hi , Im new to owning parrots , but alot of people keep sayin jellybeans are infertal. This is not true i bought 3 of them 3 weeks ago and holy crap two had babies. Im sure of this because of the great care the two little parents are taking with there fry. last i counted i think i sore between 20-30 fry fishing around in the corner of the 90gal tank the parents have "taped off" as there own. But i must say i dont know wat to do with them,, feeding wise,,,should i remove them into another tank and if so how to set that up.dont know how many eggs were laided because i only see the tank ever few days because its at work in a firehouse. I need your help fish people everywere. 30 little lives hang in the balance.

thank you for reading and advisement

Jellybeans are fertile because they are short body pink convicts. Its blood parrots that are infertile(the males anyway).

Convicts tend to take very good care of their fry so as long as the tank is well established you probably wont have to feed them specially(although this will help).

got pic?
dont worry the parents will feed the frys. i know lol cause i've seen my fish feed there frys.

Hey thx for replyin so fast!
i have some more questions if i may. are the fry in danger from the parents?

how fast do they grow?

when will the parents stop caring for them?

will the other fish in the tank kill them when the parents stop protecting them? there is a firemouth(1in), 4 tiger bards(1in),gold gourimi(2in), a pleco(3in), 5 rainbows(1in)2 black ruby barbs(1in), 1 ram(1and a halfin), and a small bubble ram

wat do i feed the fry when they become alittle bigger?

wat is the best tankmosphere for the young fish?(ph etc.)?

will the fry grow to the color of the parents?

hope to hear from u soon :hyper:

im not really sure as i remove all the other fish and just leave the parents with there fry.
