Jbl E900

Just bought and installed the JBL E900 external fiter and it seems to be making quite a lot of noise can anyone explain this?? I've tryed pumping all the air out ect, help would be much appreciated thanks people

Are you sure you've got all the aire out out? I rock mine about for 30ish seconds if i think its got air in. If not, your gonna have to open it and have a look about in there. Check the inlet pipe and impellor shaft and rotor, thats more than likely where its coming from.

I bought one of these two months ago and it was a nightmare. I definitely got all the air out, I shook it like a rag doll. The motor is ridiculously loud and grating isn't it? I gave up after a few days. I'm getting an eheim this week, wish I'd done that in the first place.

I was told they were the best its making like a really bad vibrating noise and sounds like the impeller I can't imagine air making that much noise it cost £94 aswell!!!! I'm goin to check the impeller tomorrow and if it still does it I'm taking it back I think, thanks guys

Yeah I had a good look at the impellor etc, the noise just seemed to get worse. It worked perfectly apart from the noise. Found other references to it online - must be a fault.

I'm putting it on ebay soon, nobody here buy it
