Anyone kno why? its only happening in my betta tanks i have a nice clump in my guppy tank and its perfecly fine the pieces in the betta tanks are dropping their little frond things and turning brown and making a mess.
Why is it doing this?

Are these in your 1g tanks?
How much light do they get?

Also, do you use any salt in your mixture?

I only have a little moss in a few of my 1g, it's hard to come by in Chicago.

I have the best luck with Hornworth in my betta tanks. It's not growing, but it's not really dieing either. :/

yes the betta tanks are 1g the guppy tank is a ten g half filed in my room with little to no light on occasions and the bettas are near a picture window so they gt light everyday. but i thought light didnt matter?

I've never had luck with moss in low light.

I add liquid ferts and oranic carbon (Flourish) to my 10g tanks that have java moss. I've never added any to my 1g tanks.

I'm not sure if temp has anything to do with it, but my moss is thriving in 79-81 also.

I really just started putting live plants in my 1g because I used to do silk, but they aren't cheap. I have to get to an arts and krafts store to buy some silks, because I really don't expect my plants to survive with low light and the half pinch of salt I put in. :/

temp and water quality is the same in all tanks, low light its doing fine it seems and high light its doing horrible i beleive, what the 'L' is going on?

Being in a 1 gal. the water is *Probably* changed often. This means the plant has no food. If it is getting a lot of light, it is trying to grow fast, but has no nutrients in the water to feed off of.
