Hello,
I've had an idea to create a java moss carpet using a net and java moss weaved into it rather than sand or gravel. This will make cleaning easier as instead of sifting through gravel and hoping i siphon most of it out, I can just remove the carpet and wash it in the old tank water before replacing it.
My question is, will the moss grow and thrive without any substrate below? Also, will I be able to plant Amazon swords and the likes into this moss carpet?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
