hi

i have got loads of java fern plantlet that i am trying to attach to my bogwood but i just cant get it to root to the wood. i have had all the root wraped in black thread for ages.

could i use a bit of silcone on the plants??

thanks

they dont attach very easily, i just use lead strips to weigh mine down. I hear you can glue them out of water and i guess silicone would do the job too :)

Thanks mate. I might just give It ago and see what happens

superglue (cyanoacrylate) is safe in tanks and will bond very quickly.

will i have to dry the wood out before i use superglue

Superglue actually hardens with contact to moisture(that's why it sticks fingers together so well

). Shearing elastic is also great for binding plants to wood and rock, as it is super fine and needs no knots, simply whip it around the wood a few times and pull it until it breaks.
