I have had java fern in with low light plants (anubias, java moss, crypts) for about a year. When i first received the java fern, they were small but after a couple of months grew to over 30cm per leaf. They looked healthy and far from death. I always do weekly water changes, dose with liquid ferts weekly as well. The java ferns grew fine, looked very healthy and propagated as normal for the past year iv had them. But within a 1 weeks window, the java ferns all started to melt very fast to the point that most of my java ferns completely melted off and died. The anubias and crypts were doing fine. The narrow leaf java fern, however, is starting to deteriote, but only just a bit and i am afraid they will be the next to go. I am just surprised that it was only last week the java ferns completely melted off like a disease. I have never changed my dosing/water changing routine for the year i had the plants because they were doing looked fine and grew healthy...But what else could it be???
