I have two Jaguars a know that one is a female as I had to put her in a tank on her own being very agressive. She is a darkesh brown colour. She laid eggs thats why I know. I have another one with my severums whom is very placid. Well that one is black and beautiful. i would love to mate these if I knew if the other was a male.

If I put them together would they attack each other?

Your advice would be appreciated

one of the best ways to know is to see if the other lays eggs, I have heard that you can tell by the spangling on the unpaired fins but that really isn't that relyable, as for the fighting there will be some jaw locking if they are a male/female it is an inveitable part of new world cichlid behavior.
