OK, I'm at a loss... it seems like everything I do is not helping my poor friend... I've tried treating with Pimifix, Melafix, even tri sulpha and nothing seems to be helping... it's only getting worse. Can anyone help me please???

As per requested...

Tank size: 10 Gallons
pH: 8.0
ammonia: 0.25
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 0
kH: (?)
gH: (?)
alkalinity: Between normal and low (On the scale they gave me)
tank temp: 82F

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior):
**swimming near the back corner of the tank, behind the rock. White "puffy" coating (see pic). Haven't seen him (or her) eat in a few days now...

Volume and Frequency of water changes:
**been put in a "hospital" tank for 3 days, changed the water (30%) once already.

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank:
**Pimifix and Melafix the first two days, but it seemed to get worse, now using Tri Sulpha

Tank inhabitants:
**One the one cichlid

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):
**none

Exposure to chemicals:
**none, only those listed above.

Tank Life:
**4 days now...

Bless it columnaris and it look bad melafix and is no good, you need myxazin and primafix to treat this.
You will have to get that ammonia reading down, how long have you had the ammonia reading.
