I caught my prego molly to put in 5g breeder tank. when I put her in i noticed her mouth was stuck open. I tried to shut it but it didn't work. I took her out of water for couple of seconds to help her shut it. it's worked. SHe was already really stressed and now, I'm guessing, she's even more stressed.
I don't have stress coat. What can i do, if anything, to help calm her?? Lights out? would that help? salt??? I really don't know. she's due to have fry within the next week or few days. that's why I moved her.
WHy would of her mouth got jammed open in the first place???
Please help me. I don't want her to die. :-( :-( :-(
Thankyou.
Edit: Ok. she's lying on her side near the bottom. she's really not doing well. please help me now!!!!!!!!

She might be giving birth prematurely. My guppy looked like that when she was giving birth, I thought she was dead but she was just in labor. I would turn off the light and not bother her. She's probably just really stressed out. I hope she gets better soon.

She's up and about now. not too active tho. so I'm guessing or hoping that she might be alright. but she's still breathing really fast - puffing. and kinda wobbling. Her mouths ok now. It freaked me out tho. what could have caused her mouth to get jammed open like that? Would have I knocked her or something?
I'll still keep an eye on her tho. My tanks in the lounge, so i will have to put a towel over it til I go to bed. Thanks for the help :)

I put the cover over the tank so it was dark. I've come home tonight and she seems fine. she's picking at the plants, eating etc - being a fish basically. SHe's still pregnant. I think her jaw was dislocated. "sunflower" said so in the livebearers section. She's still pregnant so I'm hoping she'll be ok and that i will get my fry when they're due. Thankyou for your advice. i think it may have saved my fishie. :D

sounds like to me she may be in labor. I just bought a pg guppy the other day and with in 4 hours she had babies, she was breathing fast too.
