As the title says!

Bit concerened from ready other threads! The pond is almost a year old and I've never done a water change - not even a 1/4 change! and I've never tested the water stats!

Having a problem with blanket weed at the mo but I've put some barley straw in and waiting to see if that works!

I have an adequate pump and filter for the gallons of the pond - 7 koi, 2 comets, 5 goldies and 1 sterlet various plants that are really taking off this year!

Please give me some advice?! )

canny link that wilder,i dont mind the weed as the bigger fish like it and it tends to stick round the edges,i just use a window wiper to keep it under control now and then

re water changes if the waters clear and the pond a decent size then id say leave well alone but you do need to check your water stats now and then and under normal circumstances water changes are recommended just to dilute any nutrients hanging about
