I have a two year old angelfish. This fish had a BAD columnaris infection that I thought I cured with antibiotics 6-8 months ago while she was alone in a 21g tank. Ive moved this angel fish into my 90g planted tank today (6 neon rainbows 2 male 4 female, 5 Denison’s barbs and one small synodontis).
After seeing my angel in the bright light of the planted tank I notice that her right fin has what appears to be columnaris STILL. She also has a upper lip growth that could be lip fibroma, this growth has been getting slowly larger for 6-10 months now. Should this fish be culled for humanitarian reasons? If yes, what is the best way to do this?
Also, this angel has been eating well and appears "mainly" healthy for the past 6-10 months....I am also very worried about the contagous factor of this disease with my other healthy fish in my 90g...
I have read that after a bad columnaris infection that a fish can get this disease into its organs, it has been more than a year that my fish has showed symptoms (after 6-8 months of apparently good health) I am wonder what to do with her now…
Thanks so much for any help,
Mibsong
