Hi, due to a mix-up with an online ordering, the company let me keep a 3' hood they sent me by mistake. This now means I have a 3' hood, a 3' tank, a light-starter unit for a 36" bulb and an old 150w heater. The old tank has an under-gravel filter - it just needs a powerhead and an uplift tube. I have half a cwt of gravel in the garage and some unused rocks from my plans for a shelldweller tank.

I've promised hubby I'll sell it. We have 4 tanks in the living room and no room for any more. We also have a major cashflow crisis. But in his office, if we tidied it up a bit, there's definitely a 3 ft space under the window and...

You know how it goes. I'm thinking maybe a species tank with some lamprologos. Wouldn't take up too much space. But no, I must be strong. I'd have to buy a pump, a bulb, a stand, the fish, of course, plus some shells and there would bound to be other expenses I haven't thought of. Fish keeping is like that - rather like drugs. One tank is never enough, and I can't go to my LFS without spending more than the national debt of a small South American country.

Sigh. I hate this. Why can't I be rich with infinite space? It's not as if I want to seal in the entire living room and turn it into a pacu tank! OTOH...
