Hi.. Im a new member!
Well first of all i got my first fish tank a 2months ago, & i already got guppie new borns, the first time it was 6 babies & the second time abt 8 babies & i really dont knw what to do? & they can be difficult to look after.

hi twinkles - I had problems in the beginning too - found that giving the babies small feeds often and lots of little water changes helped - the only thing that I had to be real careful about was making sure that the water was the same temperature or a tiny bit warmer and that I did't foul the water by overfeeding - oops - gotta go and change some water in my tanks

Ok you have really 3 solutions.

1. Heavily plant your tank so they have a chance to survive.

2. Get a breeding net so fish can't eat em

3 Get a breeding tank.

I reccomend at least step 2 if you want them to survive. Its quite hard for a begginer but you will get used to it ;) Good Luck

Thanx alot, but i got a small guppie tank for the babies which is in the main tank, but the holes at the bottom of the tank is just too big therefore they keep on escaping into the main tank. Im afraid that my tank mayb over populated if the babies have babies. My babies that are about 2months dont have hardly any colour, most of them r jus a bit black & the rest r clear.

Maybe you should get a breeding net. ;) or a seccond tank

keep them in a fish net under the hood of your tank until u get a proper breeding net or until they won't fit thru the holes.....i had the same problem when i first started with guppies......now i have a proper net
