most of my terrestrial aquarium plants have a shiny finish to them, & I think that is resistant to a lot of bugs... but the Nile Lilies I tried, are more grass like, no waxy finish... & right now they are covered in small flying black bugs... I thought they were mites, but I see they have wings...

so I think I'm going to rotate those out... not sure how to kill the bugs in an enclosed aquarium environment, seems best to remove the hang on pots & take the plants outside...

they could be fungus gnats, which are a pain in the donkey to deal with unless you use parasitic nematodes on them.
