I keep telling myself I'm not going to buy any more bettas I don't plan to breed, but then I find little beauties like this and just can't help myself!
On Wednesday I stopped by Walmart for some shampoo and took a peek at the fish aisle, only to discover the CUTEST little lady ever. I decided to take a chance and put her in the 10 gallon that houses my female imbellis since the male died several months ago, and luckily my intuition was right... they get along fantastic! The female imbellis comes out in the open a lot more often now and neither has a scratch on them. I saw them eating together today
I think Mrs. Imbellis missed having the company of another betta.

I dunno if you can see as she's hidden by plants, but Miss Imbellis is peeking in at the top of the frame

Then Friday my mother and I went to Walmart looking for a betta for my grandmother (both LFSs were out), and they had gotten a new shipment..... I fell in love with this very tropical looking fellow
. Serafino passed away recently (old age), so I needed someone to fill the empty space in the divided tank....

After one day living with me... I think he's happy
