Sounds like air 2 me especially as it comes and goes
Here's what I would do.
Make sure the outlet of the filter/ pump is fully under water and leave the pump running. When u hear that really loud toy car on the wooden floor check the outlet to see if there are any air bubbles coming out of the outlet pipe if so you def have a air leak. If you can not see any then it must be sumthing else (maybe there is atually someone playing with a toy car) you could be du 2 replace the impeler.
If it is air then disconnect everything and check for any cracks or splits in piping, check for cracked or dry seals. Try this and get back 2 us with a update
