I have set-up my 30-gal with 2 goldies in it. There is a red and white Ryukin and blue oranda. Well, shortly after I added them, the red/white started following the blue one around, almost like he was "smelling" her areas the way dogs do. He then started swimming right beside her, rubbing sides together. Are they mating!?!? If so, what should do?

I have the same thing happening in my tank. Except my fancy goldfish is doing that to my comet. The comet doesn't argue with him, he acts like he could care less. I've also always wondered what this was that was going on.

Could be mating behavior, but its unlikely that anything will come of it. If the 2 goldies are new to each other its more likely they are just finidng out more about each other and establishing some sort of pecking order between them- i wouldn't worry about it unless it turns into downright agression (like fin nipping), its pretty normal  .
