It Happened Again! ...ugh.

Again most of the fry are gone just before they're freeswimming. There's still a handful but definately not the large spawn it was.
I guess next time the father is only tending for 1 day and then i'm pulling him - twice!...it happened twice!
2 different fathers - both Plakats. Hmmm has this happened to any of you breeding plakats?
Anyway - they've had their first meal of microworms and BBS
now i'm hoping for the best.

My second spawn seems rather small... not sure why. But the bubble nest maintained by my fish was small too. Could it be that the eggs get fungus so the father eats them to prevent the fungus from spreading? Or in your case, did you see plenty of fry before they went horizontal?

i actually think now that i was wrong about Kyne eating the fry.
There were lots in the plants that i didn't see and they're crowded on both sides of the tank. If he ate some, i think it's ok because there are still lots left.
