Hi, noticed one of my Betta boys had a bulbous white poo today. I notice that seems to spell internal parasites for many. He seems very healthy otherwise, with a healthy natural sheen over his fins, in good shape getting about very well. Is it always an indicator of a sinister internal problem? :dunno:

Thanks in advance, Xan :D

If you've been feeding him any white foods, that could have caused the white poo.

I'd keep an eye on him, though, just in case, but if he's acting completely fine otherwise, then it's probably not anything to worry about. Look for darting, scratching against things, sudden and dramatic weight loss, loss of color, and any of the other warning signs of problems. If those are absent and stay absent, then it's probably not a big deal.

Just to add to Kiarra's comments - sometimes when I've fed mine peas or anything that's off color from their pellets they get odd colored poo.
