It looks like I might have got some MTs with my new cichlid tank. If I have I am quite pleased as I have been looking for one. But is this a MTSs shell.

I don't actually think there is that many. I have only eve seen one at any time so it is definatly over populated. That was just an empty shell so maybe one of my cichlids has taken a liking to them.

Malaysian trumpet snails don't tend to come out untill after the lights go off. Try going into the room with a torch tonight to check your windows. They keep themselfs burried under the sand untill it's just too overpopulated to all burry during day time.

Also, they will eat eachother if there's not enough food around. Which might be why you're just finding empty shells.
