One of my Green Tiger Barbs is displaying all sorts of odd symptoms.

1. Loses colour rapidly then regains it. This happens in a matter of minutes
2. Occasional quick breathing but not at the surface.
3. Forgetting to swim! Will be swimming along then all of sudden just stop and float as if dead, then perk up and carry on as normal.

It's eating still and water parameters appear fine

Any ideas?

How long have you had the fish, as it sounds like ph shock.

Had it snce setting up the tank. PH hasn't changed. Still alive this morning but looking very skinny and pale.

Not sounding good, the cycle might of took it's toll on the fish.

Come home this evening and its got white fluffy bits on tail fins and nose, possible fungus?

Feel I should seperate her before other fish might get infected but the spare tank hasn't got a filter.

Not good

A water change and add some salt to the tank, and give the fish a salt bath for a couple of days, this will clear the fungus without meds.
