I have been keeping tropical fish for about 15 years now but have a question about my Red Tailed Shark.

I bought him/her about 8 months ago and he/she is about 5 inches long. I have kept these fish befoe and they have never been a problem (as a lot of comments suggest) with other fish, even small tetras and rasbora's.

One thing I have noticed (which is hard to miss!) is that he spends 95% of his tme upside down. I dont mean feeding from the roof of a cave etc, I mean he almost lays on his back in his barrel until feeding time and then swims out, happy as larry, to feed and shoal with my Bronze cory's. Once fed and VERY full, he gos back to the barrel and reverts to his flip side, has anyone else noticed this characteristic in RTS'?

Cheers

P.S. His swim bladder is fine....

I think this is pretty normal. Mine did that before. Not all the time but quite often and always under rocks. If he's eating and looking healthy I wouldn't worry about it.

I had to get rid of mine becuase he started to get picked on by my lancer cat. Oh well. Cool fish though.
