I'm struggling trying to stop water dripping from the hood of the tank. Weve stripped it down and have it drying outside to see if it will stop happening. The waters been running down the tank and soaking in to the cabinet. Its taken some damage and the wood is warping a bit. I'm worried that it isn't safe for my 125L tank to be sat on it still.

I can't check the other corner as its against a wall.

I'll post if i can't stop the dripping because it's stressing me out. If someone could let me know if the stand is still safe or if i should get a new one that would be brilliant

What I would do is go to your local DIY store, and pick up a piece of 18mm conti board to match your stand colour (beech?) and then replace the top.

it should be ok as all the weight is being held by the uprights, but i'd replace the top purely for looks :good:

Thank you :)
You've just put my mind at ease a bit (just the darned dripping water problem now). I'll probably leave it for now then if it's safe and replace the wood when i get my own place - hopefully in a few months lol

My stand that my Juwel 125l is sat on is just the same maybe a bit worse.
Never had a problem yet and its been there for over six months, mine was caused by condensation running under the edges of the hood sides and ending up on the stand.
I have since siliconed round the inner edges of the hood where it meets the glass and it seems to have stopped it.
Just gotta get a new board ready to fix it.

Have a look at the structure of your stand. If the top is being softened by the water, it is time to do two things. First is to stop the water and then replace the top with a piece of material that has not changed to something resembling oatmeal.
