well i have 5 peppered cories, and i did a 50% WC yesterday and ive noticed that two of my cories are constantly with each other touching each other and rolling over, should i expect eggs?

I would expect them all to be absolutely manic unless there are 4 females!!!!

Mine don't do it after water changes. Sometimes tha day after sometimes 4 days after etc but all 3 males are after the female and they 'squabble' with each other as well. It is like a writhing mass of fish darting all over the tank ;)

Keep an eye on them to make sure it's not something else to do with the water change. Hopefully it is spawning activity and nothing more sinister :)

Hi truckasauras123 :)

When corys spawn the males chase the female and swim in front of her to show they are available. If she's ready she will suddenly pick one of them and push him over on his side. She will then nuzzle his tummy area like this:

This is known as the T-position and when they are finished she will swim away with eggs between her fins. She will then look for a place to deposit them, usually on the glass or on plants.

If yours are spawning you will know it. :D

thanks for those great pictures :) and both of your help, it does sound like spawning behaviour, so i will get the breeding net ready, and hopefully if i get any fry i can rear them in a small tank i have ordered.
