Hi guys so I’m relatively new to the hobby. I’ve a fully planted tank but they just do no seem to be growing. I have a gravel substrate and and currently using root tabs. I’m wondering if a liquid fertiliser might boost things. Wondering is this would be safe for my tropical tank for my fish, shrimp and snail?

I never tried that kind of product... I have the whole "Flourish" complex of nutrients tho.

The product you will look out first is a good fertilizer that provides available carbon like Flourish Excel. then flourish trace. are the fist bottle joining an arsenal. Then some add Flourish advanced or iron.

But hormones, will require an adequate nutrients input to support everything.

I imagine reaching the point of using hormones that stimulate growth. Should imply that you are already providing everything else for the plant to be healthy and growing...

So... I would think that at this point the plants are already managing their hormones quite well and probably wouldn't like something intervening with their communications.

I’m completely new to planted tanks it’s only since I’ve really taken to the hobby somewhat quite obsessively in the last 3-4 months.

this may sound like a stupid question but what exactly should I be providing? I currently just use root tabs but a nothing has really grown since planting and some are looking a bit sorry for themselves damaged leaves.

Could you offer any pointers?

If you can post a picture of the tank.

Do you have a list of the plant you got ?

There's peoples here very good with plants.

But the great lines are enough light with a good spectrum, carbon available then macro, micro and trace elements.
