Quote from livestockusa.org

"Clarion Angel is a beautiful rare Angelfish,
found almost exclusively around Clarion Island
in the eastern Pacific, SW of Baja California.
It is listed as endangered because the one island
is the only gene pool of the species.
Occasional wanderers elsewhere are presumed to
have originated at Clarion Island.
One man-made disaster could wipe them out."

Basically there are not many of them and they are not allowed to be collected

clarion angels have always been silly money.

several hundred of them anyone?

There is a story about that import not that I am willing to discuss on an open forum for legal reasons needless to say there was something not right about it.

Its not endangered just they are from a small island where collecting is banned as it could cause a major ecological problem, there are some of these fish that have been collected from areas near by where they are allowed to be collected from if the fish has wandered out of its normal area.

If it's endangered why does that f*cker have one!

lol why does that F*ucker have 100+ of them? did they go out to touch a butt and never came back?

edit:
did some looking up this (the picture) was a few years ago, it was smewhere around 200-300 clarions and they had a permit for it, they arent endangered or anything but are rare in the fishkeeping trade

someone could make a fortune selling tank raised clarions.....
