There's a little collection of maybe 50 tiny bubbles at the top of Dogma's fish bowl. Is this really the beginning of a bubble nest, or just the bubbles that he releases when he's expelling old air?

Also...Menlow is only eating betta pellets...is this alright? He ever rejected frozen brine shrimp. No fish I have had rejects that...lol (Dogma eats anything though...lol I do believe he thinks my finger is a huge worm  )

the bubbles are more than likely a bubble nest, yaaaay you have a healthy happy betta
some males are better builders than others, I have one guy who scatters them all over in a mess while the others all have tight fluffy nests, one of my boys goes so crazy with his building that I have to blow the surface of the water to clear a spot to drop his food,if I don't the food just gets stuck in his nest , I have another who builds his so high they look like whipped cream floating on the surface  , I always go on & on to them about how pretty their nests are  & apologize for ruining them during water changes

as long as Menlow is taking pellets there's no need to worry, eatings a good thing & eventually his appetite for new things will increase

 wuvmybetta I'm glad I'm not the only nutbar who apologises for ruining the bubble nests during water changes. Mine all build different nesties, too.
