This is for a Mississippi Mud Turtle=
Temps:
Air temp: between 75* and 83*
Basking temps: mid 80s to low 90s
Water temp: mid to high 70s
Habitat:
They require ample access to haul out. They are avid baskers and will use an extensive land area. They like plenty of decorations like rocks and aquatic plants, they like to explore their environment.
Enclosure:
a 20g long is good for 1 turtle. A larger tank is needed for multiples. Large river rocks are a great substrate for them because they love to poke around and dig in it. A strong filter system is recommended because they are rather messy eaters. They are not good swimmers and can drown in too deep of water. 8" of water is recommended at max for adults and half that for hatchlings. A sloping bank is good providing different water levels with about 8" at the deep end.
Diet:
They do good on high quality turtle pellets like Mazuri or Reptomin. Earthworms, crawdads, and feeder fish (like guppies) are good on occasion.
3 Striped Mud Turtle=
Air temps: Low to mid 80s
Water temps: Mis to high 70s for adults and around 80 for hatchlings.
Basking temps: High 80s to low 90s.
Their diet and enclosure is pretty much the same as the Mississippi Mud. Hatchling muds have a high mortality rate in captivity.
Hope that helps! Good luck!
