Is This Ok Or Just Wishfull Thinking

i am planning on getting 4 zebra danios for my 6.6 gal tank

is this cool or am i to small

i think i am probably to small but i just wanna check

if not would it be insane to suggest a tank of four 5 striped barbs?

i suppose if they wont fit i will have to have a snail tank lol

i do have other ideas that i know will fit but i really like these fishies

(until next week when i will probably have new favourates )

what dimensions is it ?? should be ok for danios not barbs, but this depends on dimensions

The only barbs I would put in a tank that size is a pair of Cherry Barbs. These stay relatively small and are not sociable fish. Danios tend to want a lot of swimming space, so if the tank is long and shallow, maybe, but if it is a regular shape, not a good idea.

I agree with Lateral Line, danio's and striped barbs are just too active for a 6.6gal tank (also shoaling types of fish should be kept in groups at least 5-6 strong, sometimes more for certain types of shoaling fish). Penguin tetras grow quite small though and are shoaling fish and would be another fine option for a tank of your size .

ive seen penguin tetras get quite big compared to most tetras!
