Is this normal shrimp behaviour?

Is this normal?
I have one shrimp who keeps eating the sinking pellet food I drop in for my cories, and is so protective over it that it has a go at any fish that tries to eat it. The shrimp actually drags the pellet away to a hiding place! Quite clever tbh. But there are other fish who make an attempt at eating it too. Obviously a tasty pellet!

I have ghost shrimp and I have seen them drag food away too. I no longer have fish (guppies) in the shrimp tank. The shrimp seem more active without them.

I think ghost shrimp is stronger than RCS so they can do that easily

What do you feed them? Which shrimp are they?

My shrimp do that to my MS, but obviously due to size difference the shrimp they don’t win and the snails take them over. But they give it a good try

They are RCS.I give them boiled mulberry leaves

Oh, I haven't heard of doing that.
Mine like 'Hikari crab cuisine' and also eat algae.
