I've been looking into upgrading the lighting in my tank for a while now and have been going in circles trying to find what to do, ideally I would like a clip on/suspended LED set up but everything I've found has been pretty expensive. I've found something that seems popular and has good rating but I'm not sure whether it would be sufficient for a slightly larger and deeper tank (175L corner tank, around 54cm of substrate and water). Most of the tanks I've seen it with have been a bit smaller, other than a couple of bigger ones but the pictures weren't great. I was thinking of getting 2/3/4 of them if needed as they work out pretty cheap. The tank is also a South American biotope so plants will be minimum and the water will be tannin stained so it doesn't have to be too bright. This is the product;
