I originally thought one of my albino pristella tetras was suffering from ich and just started treatment earlier today. But then after reading through the forums more, I'm starting to think it has neon tetra disease instead. Cause the white coloration on the tetra appears to be under the skin and not little bumps on the skin. I've attached a pic below so can anyone tell me for certain what the tetra is suffering from? The diseased fish is the one on the top. I included a picture of what my other tetra looks like below it.
Oh, the little purple circle I drew around part of the fish is to indicate what seems to be an open sore that appears on either side of the fish at about the same part of the body.
The diseased tetra isn't acting too abnormally. It still swims around with the others and eats when fed. It just looks like it's having a bit more trouble breathing.
Just want to know if I should continue with the ich treatment or prepare to euthanize that fish. Anyway, any help/advice greatly appreciated!
