Is this fin rot?

I don’t know if i’m being paranoid or not, but does he look like he has fin rot? His tank is kept at an 82° F.
I did only recently get him but he was really sick so maybe it is? I don’t know.

He used to have a snail with him but I have since moved it
He has some hardscape and a live plant (not sure of the type)

Why move the snail? Was it making too many babies?
Pics please, i can identify all of the common aquarium plants ：）
Perhaps the plant or hardscape is harming him

The best treatment for fin rot is cleaning the tank up and maybe adding a bit of salt. If the fish was unwell before you got it, then just do a big daily water change and gravel clean the substrate for a couple of weeks and that should allow the fish's immune system to heal the damage.

You can also add a bit of salt (sodium chloride). Use 1 heaped tablespoon per 20 litres (5 gallons) of water. If there's no improvement after a few days, you can increase it to 2 heaped tablespoons of salt per 20 litres of water.
Keep the salt in the tank for at least 2 weeks but no longer than 4 weeks.

Thank you! I clean his tank every other day to make sure there isn’t any extra bacteria that could be harming him.

I moved the snail because my betta simply did not like him LMAO
He would swim up to it and flare which I think was adding some extra stress he didn’t need
I gave the snail to my female betta who doesn’t even realize there’s a snail in there
And I can attach a picture for you, ignore the cringey castle I am currently trying to find some drift woody type of deco for him.
side note: the LED is white I don’t know why it was snowing that color
