Is This Enough Watts For A Tank This Size?

I just got new T5HO lights for my 54 gallon corner tank, but the bulbs are only 24 watts each. Do you think that 48 watts would be enough light for plants that need moderate lighting in a tank this size?

That is more than enough
 
Generally, for moderate lighting, you want 1-2 watts per US gallon.
