Is This Aiptasia?

I think it is, but wanted to be sure.

It's on live rock I just bought, as such I thought I could remove the piece from the tank and remove the pest outside the tank.

Your thoughts?

Yes...looks like it. Look at the pin on it in the nano section and compare the tentacles. SH

The plan is to take the piece of rock out and dip that corner in boiling water to remove it.

Think that will work?

Probably but it may also kill any inverts etc on the rock itself

Managed to take care of the Aiptasia but the feather dusters on the other side of the rock have survived!
