Is this a veiltail crowntail?

I read the other post about some guy having a veiltail crowntail... is my betta that?

He rarely flares and when he actually does the pics are always blurry. It's hard to tell from these pics.

I think I've seen this guy before? Anyways, it looks to me like he has the "combtail" trait, which is where the rays are extended past the fin, but not enough to be a crown. Or, he could carry the crown geno.

He's very pretty.

Also, as far as I know, true "veiltail crowntails" aren't completely possible. A combtail (possibly like yours) is, but a crowntail, no. At least, I've never heard of it, or seen it. Veiltails are much longer, and crowntails are rounder, shorter, and much much spikier.

That may be what he was trying to say,your little betta has some nice pointy fins but like julie said they aren't really crownys. They just have that cool trait. Here's a pic of mine with my old junko camera,he got fin rot a long time ago and his tail got all messed up,it's growing back but it'll never be the same.

Ya, those are the same betta. It's just with the flash on and off so it makes his colors come out differently. He's actually cambodian, you just can't tell.

Oh, and the first pic is with flash on and the second have flash off. The second pic was the day I first got him and in the third pic it was only a month ago... His color changed a lot, now he has purple on the base of his tail in kind of a buttefly pattern but not as noticable. I've had him almost 4 months now.
