Is This A Normal Death?

I just saw one of my Tiger Barbs shooting around the tank like a maniac, at a crazy speed, spinning and twirling around while being chased by a guppy. It then stopped suddenly, upside-down and hasn't moved since.
Is this a normal way for fish to die or can something be construed from this behaviour?

Yeah that's right it Happened to my baby Oscar last year but nothing had chased it, it only dashed suddenly and died few minutes later, I googled it a lot but with no clear answer?

What should I do then? He is still swimming with the others and seems to be a lot better although not swimming quite right.
