I would say no but I am no expert I did a fair bit of research into skimmers. We have the same tank mate. When your purchasing a skimmer you want to get the best one you can afford I origionaly had a tmc v2 skim 400 but if your using it as a hang on filter there very big. I went for the Deltec mc300 and I tell your what its the puppies dangly bits and doesnt take up to much space.
