Is there such a thing as over filtering? Like having 2 or more filters. Like in my 55g tank I have a penguin 330 bio-wheel power filter, and that’s enough for it acording to the power filter's specs, but I have some credit at the local fish store so I think I might buy me another penguin 330/350 bio-wheel. Does over filtering have its downs? Or is it good for when u plan to over stock ur tank? I’m currently cycling, so if I do get another power filter would it be ok to add it while it’s cycling? And if I do I should get the filter cartridges from the other one and put them in the new one? Well any help is welcomed! ^_^ thanks! Have a good day! Bye!:D

Overfiltering is good, if you have the money do it! I ahve an emperor 400 on my 20 long, and its caused no problems.

Yes if you wanted to swap them over you just take the media out of the one currently in there and put it into the new one.

what happens if you have too much current and how do you tell when is too much current?

Kris is right, yea they fish will be all in one side of the tank as they wont be able to swim against it, and it will make it difficult for them to rest aswell with always needing to swim hard against it.
