Is There Much I Could Keep In A 7 Gallon?

It could quite possibly make an attractive vase with some flowers in on the mantle piece or serve as a punch bowl at a party but as far as fish go there's not many that can be happily kept in under 10 gallons.

sorry my first reaction is just short of seven gallons of water! apart from that a betta, and i would imagine plastic fish may do well. :hyper:

honestly if CFC cant think of anything, i fear there are few, that would offer different advice.

how about ADF's thay can do with no filter, just 3 water changes a week. they sing when happy, nope not a joke, and are very entertaining.

Depends on the diamensions (i.e you want more floorspace than height) but bumblebee gobys and stone catfish of the Hara genus (note: not all Hara would be suitable, some get too big for a tank that size) could possibly work. As for oddballs I cannot think of anything specifically...Dwarf puffers are the obvious choice, and I think you should go for some/one. They are great fish, never kept puffers but allways like watching ones in shops. The other thing you could go for is marine. A tank like that could have a few marine possiblitys. Otherwise, youve got a nice quaranteen tank there :good:

any number of killifish. Have a look at the killifish forum.

well a single dwarf puffer would fill that tank. with a suggested average minimum tank size of 5 gallons.

on this forum the profile says 10 gallons minimum for the stone catfish, of the genus you suggested.

the BB goby comes out with a average tank size of over 12 gallons. but the best you could do was have one.

perhaps the OP could consider getting a larger tank. making fish choice a far simpler matter.

the nano reef may be worth a look. but would be a far from simple habitat to keep.

I think though boboboy that sometimes tank sizes can be minupulated, and I think that if the person would be happy keeping a particular fish in a particular sized tank then thats ok. I personally wouldnt keep and Senegal Bichir in a 30g (which is the min. suggested tanksize most of the time) but I would keep a stone catfish in a 7g as an example, I would be ok with that. Same thing with some spiny eels, I would keep one of the species I keep in a 20g or so, however that may be debateable (even though I dont at this point in time) just because I would be ok with that.

Look at the Mini fische site, it's just the case of actually getting a lot of the fish on there that is your problem. And then still not all of those fish will live in a 7g.

The comments don't say a lot, just take the name of fish and research it else where. Or use a translator, google will translate a page for you, babelfish etc.
