With my new tank build underway ime using a calfo overflow system which uses a L shaped piece of glass on the back of the tank at the top for the water to overflow.

Is there any paints out there i can use to safely paint it black or blue to try and hide it up a little??

Or would u say its just easier to leave it to cover with coraline algae???

Would covering it with a little rock outcrop, like I did with my background be out of the question

well i guess that would be possible but will take a lot of rock to do it......would look good though i bet especially if i made my liverock blewnd into it in some way.

You could TRY epoxy based paints for once dry they would be non-toxic to the tank, however I've got no idea if you could find one that would stick to glass underawater very well... If you did try the epoxy paint, you have to paint the inside of the glass so that you could still vaccum/scrape/clean the outside.

This difficulty is why most people use black acrylic for their calfo boxes
