I just sent a message to someone, but I don't see it in the sent folder. Is there a delay/time that i takes until it shows up? I just want confirmation that the message got sent. It's been about ten minutes now. I guess my message might not have gone through.

Hi,

The delay should be a few seconds at most. When you are typing your message, there are 2 check boxes at the bottom of the screen. You need to tick the one called 'Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder' or a copy of your message will not be saved to your folders. I don't know if you can make this box ticked as default, and i too would be interested to find out. MODS?

As previously mentioned, the delay is around a few seconds.

However, i have never had to press 'add a copy to sent folder'... Every message i have sent appears to be there

That's it... the check box was unchecked. I thought the messages weren't going through. Thanks

The box was checked by default until a software upgrade some time last year. This was quickly noticed and set back to the default checked state. It is possible that people joining in that period, or otherwise modifying their accounts in some way or other may have picked up the "unchecked" problem.
