Is The Shrimp Pregnant?

For sure the shrimp is carrying eggs. Very cool! My shrimp did this quite often, they seem to be prolific breeders. I think either they or other fish would eat the eggs, though. I never saw any shrimp-lings wandering around. But then again I was never really trying to breed them. Have fun and congrats with the eggs.

i had a shrimp carrying eggs a few months ago. it is an amano shrimp i think, i asked on here about what to do with the babies, apparently even though the shrimp are kept in freshwater they originally were from saltwater so even though they have adapted to freshwater the babies havent so they dont survive. i dont know what type of shrimp yours is as im useless at guessing what they are but that may be the case with these eggs

amano? it does not look like amano to me. PS i paid £3.95 for my amano shrimp

if it is amano, it can not breed in fresh water. unless you want to try those complex process.
