I'm hoping she's a girl but what do you guys think. We have separated her from the sorority as since she's been in there all hell broke loose and she was shredding their fins. It's not a bubble nest in the corner btw just bubbles from the filter :D

Here are a couple of better pics of her.

I think I must of forgot to put the video on of her......so here it is. I've got a matching boy on hold at the moment until I can be sure. Not sure if the vid changes anyones minds

Before I say anything else, beautiful finnage! I really think he's a PK male though. I know the ventrical and anal fins are a little short, but I think I saw something of a beard on him in that video and not just gill plates, but it's a little hard to tell. But the level of aggression alone is unreal for a female. I know it's a bit of a stretch but your fish might just be somewhat androgynous, meaning that it's not clearly male or female in terms of it's behavior, but not it's physical type. I think a way to test this might be to try and condition him/her with a male in the same tank. Put him/her in a chimney and see if (s)he become egg bearing and/or produces breeding bars. If she does, then she's a female, if not then he's most likely male.

B E A U T I F U L !! she is just a girl, albeit a bit of a tomboy but I got 2 of them and they scare the boys to death....wimps!

All done thanks :good: He is flaring like mad at her but she's not being as aggressive back to him. Will keep watch now and see what happens. I do hope she's a girl even with her tattoos and doc martin boots

 I think before we put her back in the sorority tank we will put loads more plants in so the others have more protective cover to get away from her. Serve her with an ASBO, Restraining order and a curfew!!!!!!!
