I've had my tank set-up for about, what, 4 months or so? Well, today I've noticed all kinds of new things. A couple of different small sponges (I think, anyway), a few unknown growths, and even what looks to be a tiny feather duster of some sort. Is this all good, or is something off-kilter that is causing this? I'm excited, thinking it's finally maturing well, but I've been know to be wrong before and just wanted to check with everyone here. The tests I have are just for ph, amm, nitrite and nitrate, Gh/Kh. But I can take water in to test for other things if need be.
The next thing, my lawnmower blenny won't quit eating! He's so fat! He eats everything from flakes to shrimp pellets, blood worms, nori sheets and spirulina pellets. He seems perfectly healthy, swimming and active and all that, but I'm afraid he'll overeat and kill himself. Should I worry about this?
One last question, the blenny was my latest addition (just over a month ago) and I am looking to get a coral beauty angel now. I have the blenny, a yellow watchman goby, a pearly jawfish and an o. clown. I also still have the starfish and an looking to getting a small urchin after the first of the year. Would adding the angelfish be alright?
Thanks!
