my female is purple and ive noticed she has really light thick lines going along her body, could she b ready 4 breeding?? x

You can breed her if she bulges in the stomach area even before feeding. This means she has eggs. If not, no. :good:

Have you researched on breeding any? Here is a guide to breeding bettas. The female, as K.J. has said, should look a bit fat, meaning she's full of eggs. It also depends on if the stripes are horizontal or vertical.

Is she in sight of a male? In a sorority tank? IME, horizontal lines have always shown on the females in my sorority tank when they were stressed by another female. Vertical stripes are usually shown when the female is in the spawning tank, or even just in eyesight, of the male.

Horizontal lines are stress, vertical lines are preparation for breeding.

Is A Vertical Line Like This ---------- Or Is That Horizontal :S Lol I Get Mixed Up

I always used to get mixed up. The way I remember it is.... Horizon - horizontal. Think of looking out to sea - on the horizon... it is a straight horizontal line _____________________ vertical is upwards :) Hope that helps.
