“This post is a fallow up to my other post called Water readings going Coocoo”
Test kits used: API Master Test Kit used for Ammonia and NitrIe
So I’m about a month in my fishless cycling and the ammonia was spiking fine and then the nitrIe spiked fine as well, then I notice my ammonia stayed locked at 1 for about 2 days nitrIe was at 0, so I didn’t know why the ammonia was locked, so I did a 50% water change, this time I did condition the water before I added it to the tank, turned off the power filters, heart light, etc; So now I did a 50% water change, then I tested it after about 2 hours, and the ammonia was at 0, but nitrIe was at 5! And I don’t know why. So I tested it about 4 hours later, then it was the same, and now I tested it today in the morning, and it’s the same! I have no idea what’s going on with it, but I’m going to keep on trying.
Well any help and advice would be great! Thanks!
P.S. I posted this topic right before leaving to work, so I wont respond until about 10 hours later. Thanks!
