i have no water comming out of my tank! but around the top part of the tank (not the canipay but the black rim around the tank) there is a salt build up, and the water seams to go alot lower faster then in my fresh water tank??

so i'am just wondering is the salt build up is normal or is my tank leaking.. :/ if it is can i just but a seelent arount it?

:thanks: :)

Humm... I think I know what you're talking about. If your water level gets up to the black plastic rim around the top of your tank you can get some water seeping out through that rim. Most aquariums, especially newer ones, skimp on silicone for that top black plastic support and dont actually seal the whole seam. Consequently if water is splashing up against the black plastic inside the tank you'll get some leaking out that way. You're not seeing any salt creep in your side or bottom seams are you?

no there is no sal comming out of the bottom anywhere!

but there is some commimg out of the top like i said!

i can fill my tank up to the black rim and with in a few weeks (3) the water can be alomst half an inch lower..is that normal? and i'am 100% shour that there is not one bit of water comming out!! only slat..

What your seeing is evaporation. Replace this with freshwater, because as the water evaporates, salt remains, so the water slowy gets more saline. :)

ok thanks guys! glad my tank is not leaking! :good: :)

Yeah, try and fill it up to just below the inside black plastic rim.
