My tank is 300 litres (regency 120)
I am currently stocking 1 severum, 1 blue acara, 2 black widow tetras.
I am planning on adding a firemouth, a ram, a festivum, a couple of keyholes and a bristlenose cat.
Is my tank big enough?!

Personally I would say its not large enough for all those cichlids.

Its fine for the severum, acara and possible EITHER a firemouth or Festiv, not both, also as stated you shouldnt keep more placid ciclids like rams with a Severum and I would also say the keyholes maybe stressed by the more aggressive Acara/FM/Festivum.

Up the number of tetras as they will feel happier in a larger group too.

You should be fine to add a BN too.

As I said, just my opinion.

Yeh good advice that^

Go for somthing like

Sev/FM/BA/Bristlenoses + Dithers

Will seem empty at first but will soon be very full :)

So is there only enough space for a firemouth OR a festivum, or could i have a tank of my current fish, festivum, firemouth and bristlenose?
Should i get one or two bristlenose? (or doesnt it matter)
Would i be able to get some hatchetfish or silver dollars or similar too?
Thankyou for the advise :)

Big enough, sure. I say with the Sev though, they are said to be wussies and don't get aggressive. A FM maybe pushing it, but try what you want and always have a spare tank ready if a fight occurs. I say go for the Festivum not the FM. In the LFS they have a 100 USG display and a 5" FM is holding it's own with 6 different fish 10+ inches. I believe and type of Madacasar cichlid (Don't know which), a huge tinfoil barb, and 10" red hook, and some other massive fish..

ok..
how many festivums could i fit in the tank?
would i be able to get two? or would this make them aggresive and non-compatible
would a gold severum also fit?
Thankyou once again for the great advise
Danny

I say 2 Festivium, and maybe could put another sev in there

where are you getting this information?
sevs and firemouths can be either placid or aggressive, temperment can vary
