Is my tank big enough?

IMO id say no, your tank is too small. Im guessing your tanks about 3ft long maybe less and only 1ft wide.
If the fish is 15cm already then thats 1ft so it would have very little room.
It may not possably be full size yet either as plantcatfish didnt have data as to the full size of the fish.
I maybe completely wrong (not that i ever am, just looks good :p )

Dan

EDIT: Although im wrong already in as much as i see you wrote it was labeled as "gets to 15cm"
I really cant read, which is bad.... :S

EDIT2: Just want everyone to know im thick ok .... :hyper:

Huh? LOL, I'm not sure I get what you're saying :) Sorry :) The tank is 2ft long, slightly over 1ft in the other dimensions. I had a look on the net, responses are mixed so I'll go back ( ) and check what species it actually is. The shop label says 15cm (about 6''), one place said 12'', another said 7''.... OK, lets assume this is the right fish. I think in the shop it was about 2'' long, from head to tail. Roughly how long until it outgrows the tank?

Looks like the same species as L075's etc... they will get to about 8" (20cm)

A 2ft tank isn't big enough.

what are the actual dimensions of the tank? It dosnt sound like a 20gal.

L163 are very similiar to the L75. The L075 has spots on there dorsal fin where as these don't

I have 2 of these fellas and both aorund the 3-4" mark. According to aqualog book they get to 10cm.

Unless it's a really wide 2ft then I would agreee in saying your tanks too small, from expereince these are quite a active plec!

10cm ?? do you mean inches??

Our 75 is already about 5" - 12.5cm

Are you sure 15cm = 1ft? seems a little small to me.

1 foot = 30.48 centimeters according to google.
So yes, you're right ... it is a bit small :p It would be, about half a foot.

Yeh you are right 15cm is 6", what i was trying to write in my post was that cuz its labelled as getting 15cm in reality it will get to 1ft (being 30cm)
I never write proper (i appologise) as i always miss words out and the sentance will make no sense. In mean time make myself look more stupied than i am :S
Best if everyone ignores anything i write in future.

Similar to what I'm saying - It'll be 8-10" :)

How about zebra pleco they r beautiful and thend to stay small. a 20g with 1-2 of this would be great I think. But the downside is that they r so expansive compare to other pleco.

IMCL85 - How about doing some research first!
Zebras are NOT a comunity fish as they are very shy and wont compete for food - Idealy they should be in a species tank and part of a breeding plan. (since they are not allowed to be imported any longer)

If you are looking for a small very striking plec - try the L134s ;)

:grr: no, the downside is that they are on the redlist and endangered !
Anyone buying a zebra plec (L046) should only do so if they are prepared to keep at least 6 in a species tank with the sole intention to breed them.

I agree zebras are nice, but Id probably have to sell all my organs on Ebay to even afford one :) I'll have a look at the L134's.

EDIT- Ah yes, leopard frogs. I have a feeling somewhere sells them, but I've also got a feeling its the bad shop....
